Artrain logo

03.24.09, Ann Arbor, Michigan – re:group was pleased to have the assignment to work with the Artrain team to rebrand the unique mobile museum. A change in operations moved the concept from transporting exhibits by rail to transporting them via mobile exhibit trailers."

Artrain is undergoing a major program transition, our first in almost 40 years," said Debra Polich, president/CEO of Artrain. "We knew that rebranding was necessary. As a nonprofit arts organization though, it was important to us that we engage our constituents as we considered changing our name and the development of our new brand image. re:group helped us do that. They did a great job of getting to the core of what Artrain is and utilized many methods to gain understanding of our history, strengths and accomplishments to reshape our identity into one that is modern, vibrant and able to summarize our mission succinctly as we continue to move forward."

The new logo incorporates the "open road" signifying Artrain's transition from the rails to America's roads, while the star dotting the "i" is representative of the creative spark that Artrain provides communities and individuals through its exhibitions and programs. A new tag line - Transporting Art. Transforming Lives. - has been incorporated, which summarizes Artrain's mission of enriching lives and building communities through the arts.
